随着易采资源的消耗和需求的不断增长，石油工业在慢慢的演化，变成以一个高技术为核心的行
业。现在各个国家、石油公司，研究机构都投入大量的人力、物力研究下一代石油技术。这些是
将支持我们的行业下50年增长的技术，包括高精度地震及解释技术，油藏精细描述技术，各种高
精度测试技术，基于精确数值模拟的油藏长期优化管理技术等等。“精准”是下一代技术的核心。
作为一个技术交流平台，我们的目标就是推动下一代石油技术的开发、交流和普及。这就是我们
以“精准”为名的原因。

Techinically it is a right name, but it is not a very good name for business and popularity. I wouldn't use this name if I were the ower of this website.

个人觉得这个名字还是很精彩的。这里没有人没有听说过“标准石油”吧，我不知道这里的founders有没有向这个如雷灌耳的前辈致敬的意思，但给我以这样的联系，觉得这是一个非常雄心勃勃的名字。其次如op所言，这阐明禀承的技术宗旨和理念，非常简洁清楚。 business and popularity 不取决你的名字，而取决你由理念，实力和努力所组成的形象 －－ “精准”是一个绝好的形象代表。

May be the name is full of meaning or means nothing.
But,who care?!
We should estimate this website by its contents and the visitors' reflections.
