I was borned in Canton china right after the war. I spent a lot of day laying at the bank of Pearl river. A lot day dreaming during the turbine years of the young groverment. That was my way to escape the hash environment. When your belly is empty, there is no much physical activity you want to do. May be that was the reason I made it while some of my friends and relatives died due to lack of food. I left China when I was 10. I made the journey to Hong Kong alone. It was a journey I will not forget. Unless you have done that, you would not understand. My mother stayed with my youngest brother. My younger brother is still in China.
To me, the changing of power at the top basically broke my family. So, I do not share the warm and fuzzy feeling as many forum members. I'm happy that the new China is doing well and the citizens seem to share the fruits. However to me, that is still just another political party.
To me, being successful in america was not the result of strong China. It was hard works and persistence with a tad of luck. I don't put a big label on my forehead saying who I'm. To me, I'm just a human and a tempory occupant of the earth. While I'm occuping the space, I believe I have the responsibility to make the world a bit nicer for my kids and my earth fellows. I don't like the war US is in now. I think it distabilize the region and us citizens suffer. So is the new oil deal that we were discusing. I don't like to shout the logons nor follow the instructions of the politicians, either chinese or american.
I know my view of the new goverment is different than yours. That is OK, you have the freedom of choice and so am I.
Again as I said my policy is to avoid politics. I hope this will be my last post regard this subject.
