大家好，我想申请采油工程，但是对美国各个大学采油工程系的情况不是很了解，大家能不能简单介绍下各个大学采油工程系的情况，给个大致的排名，如果有比较好的老师的话把老师的名字列一下，万分感激

（另外，我查看了各个大学的教授，感觉做油藏的教授比较多，采油的相对少些，这是为什么呢？）

Drilling requires field work/test which can't be done in university environment. You can learn the basic in school, however, until you have done that in the field, your knowledge is just book knowledge. Most the R/D in drilling are done by service companies, they conduct training and certification for the people who are interested.

plan and maintain production performance
keep eyes on costs
work with vendor to ensure HSE compliance and smooth operation
keep up with facility engineers to keep production equipment in good working order
work with reserves engineers to meet production goal
work with field personnel to ensure smooth operation.

In big company, facilty, completion, production, remedial(workover), flow assurance engineers are separate discipline, for smaller operator, all may lump into one guy. for some company, these duty may outsource to service company.

Unlike chinese universities, US universities provide broad base education. US universities goals are to educate thinkers. For technicians, they go to trade schools. Companies do not hire specialists who have no actual work experience.

你说的采油就是注水，热采，化学驱这类EOR的方面的东西吧？这些东西相当程度都是工艺性的，就是实验什么样的参数最好。大学更多从事理论和基础研究，所以在做工艺性的研究的时候与公司的研究机构相比，没有什么优势。因此采油方面最先进的应该是石油公司的研究所里。

但是如果是EOR方面的话，University of Wyoming有一个专门的EOR中心，http://www.uwyo.edu/eori/

其它的基本上就是各个传统的石油工程牛校了，斯坦福有一个组做注气，还有做重油的，还有做热采的http://pangea.stanford.edu/departments/ere/research/research-groups

UT Austin，TAMU之类的肯定也有这方面的。你可以参考精华区的介绍。
