I have a background in naval architect and currently working as marine consultant for nearly 4 years. I want to pursue MBA and was wondering which has better career prospects- MBA in Energy Managment or MBA in consulting. I am open for changing my career field.

Besides, my GPA in bachelor is below 3.0. I have no competition on applying for the top20 business school.So, I want to know the 'top business school'in erergy industry. Who can tell me?

In addition, I want to take my MBA in Europe for it will cost one year.

There are many MBA courses in the UK. Check the Times Education Web, pick one University you are interesting in. Do some research. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think RICE or UT is hard to enter. For they are not top30 in US. The important factor is the employment after graduate. Anyway, I have considered the two universities, but I don't farmiliar their employment by big oil company every year. Who can tell me?

Unless you already got the AD from them, I don't believe you are in the position making such statement. AFAIK, the criteria for both schools are recommendations from applicants' employers/sponsors and their financial support.

If you have done your homework, you can see the job experience statistic should tell you that their MBA programs are targeted industry fast trackers; "student" does not stand a chance.

then concentrate your resource somewhere else, UT & Rice are not for you.

For those not familiar with their program, UT & Rice MBA programs are THE TOP two MBA program in the SOUTHWEST. Unless you have good referral, the chance of getting into is slim and none. Also, the costs are very high too. Even your company pays for the tutition, be prepared to spare 6-digit for other out-of-pocket fees.

I think you should give Rice and UT Austin a shot.
You have some industry experience, reasonable GPA, good GMAT (this should be default for all Chinese). Work on your RL and you may have a chance.
