需要 what. If you need paper, do a google, there are tons of papers floating around. The technology for exploitation is not new.
Unfortunately, for shale gas development, to make a profit, you need to adjust the receipt to maximize the profit. Many companies publish their successful story/procedures/methodology (receipt) for their shale gas plays.
But every shale play is slightly different, there is NO one receipt fit all. Whatever you 需要, you need to cook up your own.
BTW, Chinese professional better learn to control "I 需要 too" mentality. The lack of imagination and urge to copy are really amazing. I don't know how to hit these thick heads with 4x8.

That is a completely different issues. It is about control. I have no intention going into that direction.
what I want to correct is "mentality".
I have several classmates are professors in Hong Kong and in China universities. The told me chinese students expect them to show them how to use certain software, do a few examples , they will be happy as clams. If they teach theory only, half the class will drop out before the bell rings. Last year, I toured China and had a chance to see my classmate in action. He walked in the room, and started writing on the blackboard, steps how to creat a dipping channel. The students were busy copying and no one ask questions. Then my classmate sat in front of the computer and basically repeated the steps he wrote on the board, again students started copying, some busy writing, some used cell phone taking pictures (I have never see that in US classroom). Other than camera clicking sounds, no one made a noise. The bell rang and my classmate prepared to leave the classroom. All of sudden, tons of questions, How to get to the screen, which function key, what number in certain data blanks. Based on the questions, I believe no one get the correct steps how to control the channel direction. Unfortunately, no question asked why, alternative approach and pros & cons of using bitmap. More importantly, how to q/c the result.
Apparently, the mentality of the students is to duplicate the teacher. Swallow the lessons whole.
I had a heated discussion with my classmate over dinner. I believe he should teach his students the fundamental of Geometrical Modeling. A student who has the basic understanding of geometrical modeling (property calculator) should have no problem creating the object with bitmap, whether it is a channel direction or perms or else. But my classmates told me when the students sign up for modeling, they actually expect to becoming a Petrel expert. To teach a difficult subject within 3 months, my classmates, like all(??) professors in China are forced to use "feed the ducks" approach. I feel sorry for my classmate and their students. The fact that he is a very successful prof in china and his classes always filled to the rim kind of prove that a successful sale is giving the customers what they wanted. My classmate is an excellent saleman and his students are excellent copying machines.
Footnote, another strange phenomenon is questions related to software version. The approach my classmate taught requires a later version. The earlier versions require couple extra steps. One question made me shaking my head was which software used to creat the bitmap.

教育产业化的必然后果,学生就是一件不合格的残次品,把这种教育模式推广到美国如何?

US education system is not the best. It has its pros and cons. History will tell which is a better system.
Anyway, I sincerely hope that students everywhere are not blinded by "BULL" & "HOT" fade of education. forget the short gain and take time to build a solid foundation for themselve and for the humanity.
