Deepwater Asia Congress 2010 which will be held in April 26-29th, Shanghai, China, reflecting the exciting growth that China is undergoing in the Asian Deepwater oil and gas industry.

CNOOC, China’s national oil company, has announced plans for capital expenditure and operating expenditure during 2008-2012 to reach a total of US$ 8.17 billion. This level of committment clearly expresses their interest and confidence in the regional deepwater arena.

CNOOC and other companies operating offshore China or in other Asian waters rely on the latest technology and solutions to bring the greatest possible results from their exploration and production efforts.

As with the previous Deepwater Asia conferences, the 2010 event will bring together the best and brightest minds in the industry worldwide to take part in the technical program. The conference theme “Survive, Sustain, Breakthrough for Asia Deepwater Tomorrow Market”. focuses on the specific technological needs of the Asia-Pacific deepwater arena. The 2010 event will gather Industry professionals from throughout the energy centers of the Asia-Pacific area – including Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and India – for this event, the only conference focused entirely on Asia-Pacific deepwater exploration and production.

Last year’s event attracted more than 250 industry professionals. There is little doubt that this year’s event will be much larger.
