The major work that AASPI consortium contributes includes:
1. Development of modern seismic attributes, including coherence, reflector curvature, reflector rotation, spectral decomposition, discontinuity etc, to improve our ability to visualize stratigraphic features that are considerably below the classical limits of seismic resolution.
2. Integrated calibration of subtle stratigraphic, diagenetic, and structural features such as thin-bedded turbidites, gas shales, karsting, and fracture systems by combining seismic attributes with well-logs, production data, core, etc.
3. Development of seismic attributes clustering and demensionality reduction methods.
4. Development of fracture delineation workflow based on P wave azimuthal velocity and AVO, shear wave splitting, etc.
5. Prestack Kichhoff time migration and recerse time migration.
This is the work I saw, few if any other work may also be done by some students.
