可以考虑逛mall啊。在中国，很多人夏天的周末都去逛商场，因为环境好、有免费空调、还可以买当天的新鲜水果和蔬菜。

我比较喜欢10号和Gessner交口的Memorial Mall。里面有一个室内冰场，经常有冰球比赛，我儿子很喜欢看。旁边还有一个小孩的playground，再旁边还有很多桌椅和免费的无线网。我爱人还可以逛逛她比较喜欢的牌子。

Memorial Mall里面吃的东西也都还过的去。

I used to work in the building right behind Sears. When my kids were attending Chinese sunday school in the near by church, me and my wife normally cool our heels in that mall waiting for the kids finishing school. It was a nice area but the area has gone thru several phases. With the hospital expansion next door, the traffic around it is not for fainted heart drivers.

Anyway, as for the Houston heat, although this yrar is slightly hotter but is not a record unless the high pressure stay over for July. If this is your first summer in Houston, take this chance to visit the cooling places in this area., eg visi the mall as Sandstone suggested, dip your toes in Galveston, slide down the river in the Hill country. grab a friend and explore this area. If an O&G career is in your plan, chances are you will come back to Houston again. If you can get over the heat, nothing in life that you can't overcome. Hehe.
